QUIET HOURS is a mixed-media performance that explores, in a poetic and suggestive way, the gradual erosion of democracy as a secure framework for the protection of human rights, as well as the increasing militaristic tendencies of states.

The work attempts to give voice to the demystification of politics, and to the anger and despair that largely define us within the contemporary global landscape. During the performance, the audience is confronted with a journey from indifference and lethargy toward a state of hope.

The performance QUIET HOURS is a distinctive assemblage of interdependent “scenes,” connected through a thread of despair, melancholy, and anger.
